Disney Plus Launching Ad-Supported Service in Late 2022

Disney Plus will start to offer a tiered subscription later this year with a cheaper subscription that includes advertising across all of their content, not just Hulu. This is a great opportunity for advertisers to access new streaming inventory. By offering advertising, Disney Plus is joining the ranks of HBO Max, Paramount Plus, Discovery Plus and NBCUniversal’s Peacock. Disney’s main rivals, however, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, still do not include ad-supported options.
