Digital Media Associate

BASK Digital Media is seeking to fill the Media Support position to work within the Media Team to set up, manage, and optimize advertising for some of the biggest public affairs, advocacy, and ballot measure campaigns in the country. The role will focus on analytics, trafficking, pacing, and reporting.

In this role, you’ll jump into an intense, exciting work environment where you’ll become a master in 7+ different advertising platforms. Through BASK’s on-boarding process, you will learn how to advertise through multiple different social platforms, including Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and more. In addition to social advertising, you will also learn the ins and outs of all Google products, DSPs, ad servers and high-level reporting technology. Within each platform you will be trained on how to advertise using different types of creatives such as display, video, native, and search advertising.

Based in San Diego, BASK Digital Media is a full-service digital powerhouse of 25 experts, including strategists, media planners, ad ops pros, designers, video producers, and web developers, all working together to deliver effective, high-impact campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and pace digital campaigns to ensure efficient budget delivery and consistent progress toward goals and KPIs.
  • Set up and manage ad campaigns across platforms including Facebook Ads Manager, X Ads, Google Ads, Campaign Manager 360, Yahoo DSP, LinkedIn Advertising and more.
  • Traffic creative into each platform upon launch of a campaign and all subsequent creative changes thereafter.
  • Prepare professional client-facing screenshot decks that capture campaign launches, creative refreshes, and audience targeting.
  • Analyze advertising data to identify outliers in performance, delivery, tracking, and pacing.
  • Create weekly campaign reports for all campaigns within an automated reporting system.
  • Manage a dashboard that showcases campaign creatives and strategies being executed.
  • Lead performance reporting by evaluating digital advertising campaigns and recommending data-driven optimizations in internal-facing memos.
  • Develop clear, client-ready summaries that translate campaign results into actionable insights and strategic takeaways.
  • Contribute to strategic research initiatives that enhance client strategies, demonstrate innovation, and strengthen BASK’s reputation as a leader in political and digital advertising.

 Required Capabilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, or Political Science
  • An interest in working in the fast-paced world of advocacy, public affairs, and ballot measures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Very strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects at one time with competing deadlines
  • Can-do attitude, often the work hours are atypical and centered heavily around political events (i.e. elections, legislative sessions, etc.)
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office programs (particularly Excel) is required
  • Ability to create, edit and format documents and presentations according to company standards and within stated deadlines
  • Ability to take direction, as well as work independently or as part of a team on projects as assigned
  • Willingness to learn and try new things in a very fast-paced energized environment
  • Proven strategic thinking skills and pride in your work

 Bonus Capabilities:

  • Experience working with digital media platforms or experience in a marketing analytics role
  • Prior work/internship with a digital advertising or PR agency is a plus
  • Solid conceptual understanding of the political process in the United States or a passion to be involved and learn more

Compensation: $29-$33/hr DOE full time non-exempt
